Position Summary:

The Security Officer provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.  Responsibilities include: 

  • Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
  • Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
  • Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred.
  • Licenses: N/A
  • Certifications: NCI within 30 days of hire/transfer
