Position Overview

Big Fish is looking for dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwashers to join our kitchen team. Dishwashers play an essential role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment throughout service.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine and properly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Keep the dish area clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift
• Ensure clean dishes and equipment are returned to the appropriate areas quickly and safely
• Assist kitchen staff with maintaining a smooth flow of service
• Remove trash and recycling and maintain clean garbage areas
• Sweep and mop kitchen and dish area floors as needed
• Clean and sanitize sinks, work areas, equipment, and other kitchen surfaces
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties
• Properly handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Help with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries when needed
• Communicate with cooks, chefs, and management when supplies or equipment are needed
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even during busy periods
• Perform additional cleaning and kitchen-support duties as assigned

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a hot, wet, and fast-paced environment
• Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays
