Overview

The Resort Assistant F&B Manager assists with leading the day-to-day operations of the resort’s dining outlets, banquet functions, and food and beverage services. This role works alongside department leadership to maintain strong service standards, support team development, and ensure that guests receive a consistently high-quality dining experience. The position requires a hands-on leader who can support service periods, guide team members, and help drive operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

Primary duties of this position include:

  • Partner with the department manager and other resort departments to coordinate operations and enhance the overall guest experience
  • Monitor adherence to cash handling standards and ensure accurate use of point-of-sale systems
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and team briefings to support consistent communication and service standards
  • Maintain a visible presence during peak service hours to support staff and oversee guest interactions
  • Support daily restaurant operations as well as banquet and special event services to ensure smooth execution
  • Reinforce company service expectations by providing coaching, performance feedback, and recognition to team members
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new food and beverage associates in alignment with company policies
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment by ensuring compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Encourage a positive, service-focused culture by promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth among team members
  • Complete additional operational tasks or leadership responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

Desired qualifications for this role include:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in food and beverage operations with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and team engagement

  • 3+ years of management experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and coach associates to maintain service excellence

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, team members, management, and homeowners

  • Reliable work habits with a strong attention to detail and commitment to operational quality

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support cross-departmental cooperation

  • Comfortable working in a physically active environment that may involve prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, or pulling during shifts

  • Flexibility to work varying schedules typical in hospitality operations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to sales performance and improve guest service interactions

  • Self-motivated with the initiative and accountability needed to accomplish operational goals

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Experience using general computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software

  • Adaptable and organized with the ability to remain effective in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Creative mindset for improving operational processes and developing team members
