Job Title: Service Representative (CDL A Driver) 

Reports To: Service Manager 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Classification: Full Time 

 

Job Summary: The Service Representative is responsible for merchandising and completing deliveries in a courteous, professional, and timely manner in a certain geographic location.  

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Service Assistant (Delivery Helper) when applicable. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for accurate inventory, merchandising, and daily check procedures.  
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of billing to customers.  
  • Maintain clean and serviceable vehicle, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily. 
  • Follow all retail/account procedures regarding deliveries. 
  • Responsible for communicating effectively and timely with given Service Manager regarding route adjustments, emergencies, extended hours, or additional assignments.  
  • Responsible for communicating with Sales Representatives as needed.  
  • Ability to fuel delivery vehicles to maintain adequate fluid levels. 
  • Comply with Southern Crown Partners policies, procedures, and all applicable laws.  
  • Responsible for working with others, building, and maintaining relationships. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to work a schedule that includes early morning start times. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction. 
  • Ability to accurately complete all required paperwork, accounting, and documentation.  
  • Ability to solve practical and simple math problems.  
  • Ability to work in a friendly manner as part of a team and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and their staff.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.  
  • Punctual and dependable. 
  • Represents SCP’s commitment to excellence through PARTNERS values. 
  • Possesses a valid commercial driver's license in the state of residence while maintaining a good driving record. 

 

Education/Experience: 

  • High School graduate or GED 
  • Valid CDL-A Federal License (Real ID)


Physical Requirements: 

  • Walking, standing, climbing, bending, balancing, kneeling, lifting, and twisting frequently. 
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.   
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.   
  • Driving 30% 
  • Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and twisting 70%
