Key responsibilities
- Administrate backup, security, and redundancy strategies
- Be a part of the development of design of information and operational support systems
- Band together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Establish standards to actively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Note down and retain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes
- Govern and oversee all installed systems and infrastructure
- Deliver 2nd and 3rd level support
- Install, maintain, configure, and test operating systems, application software and system management tools
