WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is looking for Cooks to join our team! Our Cooks prepare quality menu items for our guests to ensure a WONDERful dining experience! Cooks stay busy making food to satisfy a high volume of guest orders and maintaining all food safety standards in the work area.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and makes all food items by following the recipe and meeting required guidelines and food safety standards
- Checks all equipment daily to make sure it is operational and clean
- Date and label all ingredients and food products
- Stock food and beverage orders upon arrival and rotate food items by following FIFO methods
- Clean all food prep areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment continually as used
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
- Ability to efficiently multitask and work independently
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Proficient knife skills
- Experience working in the culinary field
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen preferred
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the work area for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
