Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Night Relief/Training Supervisor based in Nampa, Idaho.


The Night Relief/Training Supervisor assumes supervisory roles as needed and performs additional supervisory functions within the parameters established by the parent company. This role involves daily tasks related to Fresh Mozzarella production and Packaging operational transactions. The Relief/Training Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all Fresh Mozzarella employees are thoroughly trained and retrained to adhere to standard processes, operations, and practices. Additionally, the role includes maintaining organized training documentation to ensure the sustainability of employee knowledge and skills


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:


Ā· Assists the department manager to enhance the technical and financial performance of the department.

Ā· Directs adjustments of the manufacturing processes to maintain conformance with Standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

Ā· Responsible for maintaining all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all regulatory requirements.

Ā· Responsible for a variety of reports to include, but not limited to, production volume, yields, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Ā· Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

Ā· Schedule staff and estimate work hour requirements for completion of daily job assignments.

Ā· Responsible for the review and approval of time records of all staff assigned. Will be required to explain variances in hours worked, productivity and any other functions.

Ā· Work with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP< GSP, FSSC practices, QC Policies, and procedures as well as proper maintenance of equipment.

Ā· Collects and provides any data necessary for budget creation or implementation.

Ā· Cooperates with other management in establishing and communicating company policies, operating procedures, and goals.

Ā· Ensures quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.

Ā· Ensures effective employee relations by supporting and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Analyzes and assists in resolving work and/or employee issues through problem resolution.

Ā· Travel and/or extended work hours may be required.

Ā· This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Ā· Ensure all employees are effectively trained on GMPs, policies, procedures, plant operations and process, and equipment operations.

Ā· Create and utilize training programs to address skill gaps in employees.

Ā· Prepare new standard operating procedures (SOP), update current SOP, and utilize SOP to ensure standardization of all plant processes and procedures.

Ā· Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office 360 programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Photo to create effective training programs and maintain organization of employee training.

Education

Ā· High School diploma or equivalent required.

Ā· Associate degree preferred.


Experience

Ā· 2+ years Supervisory or lead person experience required.

Ā· Experience in production, packaging, warehouse, or distribution center preferred.

Ā· Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred.


Specialized Knowledge

Ā· OSHA, Food Safety, FDA, and USDA.

Ā· Knowledge of ISO and certifications within the food industry (FSSC, ISO9001).

Ā· Computers and Systems (Microsoft Office and manufacturing operating systems).


Skills / Abilities

Ā· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ā· Business acumen including problem solving and analysis.

Ā· Effective time management, planning, organizing and delegation.
