The Fire Alarm Service Manager is a management role with full responsibility for employees, job execution, and operational performance within the service function. This position provides leadership, direction, and oversight to field personnel, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards. The Manager is accountable for workforce management, including hiring, performance management, and discipline, as well as achieving operational and financial objectives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide full management and leadership of service technicians and field personnel.
Direct and coordinate daily operations, job assignments, and workforce scheduling.
Oversee execution of service jobs to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with codes and standards.
Accountable for operational performance, productivity, and team efficiency.
Manage employee lifecycle activities including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and discipline.
Approve timecards, manage labor hours, and ensure accurate payroll reporting.
Monitor job progress, budgets, and overall service performance metrics.
Support customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with leadership on planning, staffing, and operational improvements.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Utilize service management and reporting systems to track work orders, inspections, and team performance.
Step in to provide technical support or hands-on assistance in rare or critical situations.
Travel to job sites and meetings as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
NICET Level II or above preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to manage teams, operations, and performance outcomes.
Proficiency with computers and common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Experience using service management or inspection software platforms (e.g., inspection reporting tools, work order systems, mobile field service applications).
Ability to learn and effectively use company-specific systems for scheduling, reporting, and workforce management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments (as needed).
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites (as needed).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods (as needed).
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments (as needed).
Occasional use of hand tools and testing equipment as needed in support of field operations.
