Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator

With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role is responsible for assisting with department office operations, customer service, and supporting the supply chain process.

Position Responsibilities:

Assist with rail fleet logistics
Monitor and update rail fleet report daily
Assist with supply data analysis
Audit for accuracy, enter, and approve rail invoices
Assist with maintaining rail rates in ERP system
Collaborate with internal operational teams to ensure efficient rail moves
Aid in the coordination of inbound shipments with our supply chain partners
Aid in troubleshooting carrier issues
Participate in development meetings and assist in achieving department goals

Required Skills/Abilities:

Good analytical and planning skills to establish supply requirements
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
3-5 years of asphalt experience (various, for background) is preferred
Knowledge of department processes
Good relationship building skills
Highly organized
Experience in dealing with railroads is beneficial
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
Light travel

Education and Experience:

Two (2) years of related experience, education, or certification
Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
Experience improving logistics processes
