Job Description

Step into a leadership role where your passion will be the foundation for inspiring your team to achieve operational excellence.  While this role will have a primary focus on one outlet or department, the expectation is that the manager will assist and lead across all food and beverage venues as business needs require.

The Food & Beverage Manager plays a key role in leading service excellence, guest satisfaction, and team development while upholding luxury service standards, regulatory compliance, and brand expectations.

This role will be responsible for overseeing all Banquet and Event operations to ensure flawless execution, exceptional guest service, and efficient use of resources. This role leads the banquet team, coordinates with multiple departments, and serves as a primary point of contact for clients to ensure all events meet company standards and client expectations.

  • Plan, organize, and manage all banquet and event operations, ensuring events are executed according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

  • Lead, supervise, and support banquet captains and banquet team, providing direction, scheduling, and performance feedback.

  • Serve as the main liaison between clients, sales/events team, kitchen, bar, and hotel management to ensure seamless communication and execution.

  • Communicate directly with clients before and during events to address requests, resolve issues, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

  • Oversee room setups, service flow, and event timelines to ensure high service standards.

  • Manage labor costs, staffing levels, and scheduling to align with business needs and budgets.

  • Provide coaching, training, and daily leadership to food and beverage team members, through our ENRICH values

  • Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed consistently

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences across all assigned outlets

  • Monitor food and beverage quality, service standards, and presentation throughout events.

  • Oversee beverage operations, including consumption tracking, compliance with alcohol service policies, and coordination with the bar team.

  • Review, approve, and finalize banquet checks; ensure accurate posting of charges to master accounts.

  • Ensure completion and review of event reports, distributing them to appropriate department heads and following up as needed.

  • Train team members on menus, products, and service knowledge so they can confidently engage with guests

  • Proactively anticipate operational needs, resolve issues, and maintain smooth service flow

  • Support cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of all food and beverage spaces

  • Maintain clear, professional communication with service and management teams

  • Ensure all items are properly stocked and inventory levels are maintained

The starting range for this position is $80K. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current Food Handler’s Card

  • RBS Training Required

  • Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and provide excellent customer service

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented mindset

  • Demonstrates initiative and follow-through

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.

  • Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of banquet or food & beverage management experience preferred.

  • Prior experience as a Banquet Captain or supervisory role strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and alcohol regulations.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
