This is a per diem/on call position.
The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients with physical disabilities in accordance with all applicable and commonly accepted professional standards of practice. Designs treatment plans, which focus on maximizing independence with personal care and activities of daily living. Documents care, coordinates with the physician, other facility staff, and family members regarding the scope of the treatment plan, instructs in precautions, follows through on the need for additional service or referral.
Providence Adult Day Health Napa Valley provides the only adult day program in the valley dedicated to supporting older adults and adults with dementia, brain injuries, developmental and physical disabilities, mental health conditions, or other challenges-whether or not they have a formal diagnosis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Upon hire: California Occupational Therapist LicenseÂ
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationÂ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Training in Treatment of Adult Hemiplegia and Hand Therapy.
- 1 year experience in an acute/rehab setting.
