This is a hands-on, field-based role that combines project coordination with active participation in system installations. Responsibilities include mounting displays, running cable, and supporting system integration onsite. Because our clients are located nationwide, this position requires extensive travel. Travel may reach approximately 75% of working time and can include frequent flights, overnight stays, and multi-week deployments at customer sites. This position offers the opportunity to work at premier hotels and luxury properties nationwide and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field and seeing projects come to life. QualificationsKey Responsibilities Field Project Coordination Support multiple AV installation projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and internal teams Maintain consistent communication on project progress, risks, and updates Installation & Site Support Participate in onsite installations including mounting displays, installing equipment, and pulling cable Work in ceiling, wall, and structured environments as needed Support system setup and commissioning (displays, audio systems, video conferencing, control platforms) Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards Technical Execution & Troubleshooting Apply working knowledge of AV systems, including DSPs, control systems, and audio/video components Troubleshoot installation and configuration issues in the field Partner with technical resources to resolve challenges Programming & Configuration (Preferred) Assist with basic DSP and control system configuration Support system testing, calibration, and performance validation Documentation Reporting & Tracking Create signal flow diagrams and system documentation Track project milestones, installation progress, and site updates Experience tracking project inventory, equipment allocations, and material usage across multiple active projects Quality Assurance & Client Experience Perform system quality checks and final testing prior to client handoff Support client walkthroughs and basic system training Serve as a professional onsite representative, ensuring a high-quality client experience Qualifications Experience 2+ years of hands-on AV installation experience or a combined field and coordination role Demonstrated ability to manage both field execution and project responsibilities Technical Knowledge Familiarity with commercial AV systems, including DSPs, control systems, and audio/video components Exposure to platforms such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, or Biamp preferred Working knowledge of project management platforms (such as D-Tools) DMX lighting control systems (preferred) Managed network switches, VLANs, and basic network administration (preferred) Dante audio networking (preferred) Skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project needs Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to manage multiple projects across current and upcoming timelines Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools Ability to perform common low-voltage installation tasks, including cable pulling, drilling access pathways, and making minor field modifications to building finishes as required AutoCAD, Visio, or similar system documentation tools Certifications (Preferred) CTS or related AV certifications Communication Effective interpersonal and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including: Director of Integrated Solutions Director of Information Technology Hotel partners and onsite contacts Five-Star operational and field teams Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds Ability to work on ladders and lifts Ability to access ceilings, equipment racks, and other installation areas Work Environment & Travel Valid driver's license and ability to travel Regular travel (up to 75%), including multi-day and out-of-state projects Opportunity to work in luxury hotels, resorts, and conference environments A dynamic, field-driven role with exposure to diverse projects and technologies Full-Time Benefits 401(k) with company match Roth 401(k) with match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Life Insurance Paid sick time, vacation time, and company holidays
