The Lead X-ray Technologist will provide excellence and innovation in the care of patients, the training of staff, and the creation and sharing of health knowledge. The Lead Technologist must apply knowledge and principles of radiation protection to achieve radiation exposures ALARA. The Lead Technologist must know and understand processes, workflows, protocols, and policies in order to be a firsthand resource for other technologists.
Responsibilities
1. Serves as a Lead Technologist by assisting other Radiologic Technologists, ensures quality, and handling of daily situations as they arise. (50%)
a. Knowledgeable of the EPIC and PACS applications in order to be able to troubleshoot problems and identify solutions.
b. Effectively operates and is thoroughly knowledgeable of medical equipment in order to be a resource to staff technologists.
c. Proficient at all locations within region in order to assist with staff development, new employee orientation, and training.

2. Acts as a conduit between supervisor and staff technologists. (50%)
 a. Provides the supervisor with input regarding service improvements, staff performance, and data collection.
b. Counsels the team by guiding, directing, and motivating technologists in order to assist them in achieving their maximum potential and contributions to the organization.
Qualifications
License / Registration / Certification:
- Active IEMA license
- Active ARRT license
- Active Healthcare Provider CPR certification
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program with an AAS or BA.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $30.25-$46.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
