Position Summary Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The Assistant Project Manager is a dual support role that will provide support to the VP of Strategic Development and the Director of Construction and Design Services for the oversight of renovation of residential apartment units and capital projects within the Moorings Park campuses. This position will also work along with and support other positions within the department and throughout the Moorings Park Institute (MPI)

 

Key Contributions

  • Partners with architects, engineers, and design professionals to develop comprehensive project plans, construction cost budget, and timeline. 

  • Coordinates campus projects in collaboration with the Renovation and Construction Director and VP of Strategic Development.

  • Develops and presents accurate project timelines, budgets, and cost estimates.

  • Oversees installation of materials and design elements, ensuring adherence to specifications.

  • Conducts final walkthroughs with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

  • Stays current with industry trends, materials, and best practices in senior living construction.

  • Leads and manages contractors and vendors with professionalism and clear direction.

  • Utilizes project management software to track progress, manage selections, and document milestones.

  • Demonstrates initiative and commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and internal safety protocols, including the Moorings Park Contractor Safety Manual

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
  • During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.· High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training in building, construction, and maintenance trades a plus.
  • Preferred to have at least two years’ experience in the building maintenance and construction industry.
  • Must possess an understanding of construction fundamentals of remodeling and be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working with professional consultants and contractors, project scheduling, invoicing, and preparing reports for management.
  • May be required to travel off campus using facility vehicle. A current Florida driver’s license and a safe driving record will be required.
