EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/Golf Course Maintenance

Job Title: Equipment Operator / Maintenance

Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent

Compensation: Hourly 

Job Summary: 

• Daily golf course setup; walk mowing greens, rake bunkers, changing cups, tee service divot repairs
• Operates Toro Mowers; greens, tees, fairway, roughs, and collars (different heights)
• Operates all types of equipment; hand-held power tools, utility carts, mowers, tractors, etc. 
• Edger/Weed-eater/Power Trimmers/Chainsaws
• Spray weeds, Pull weeds
• Attention to detail
• Ensures that the equipment working properly; refills fuel, cleans equipment daily, and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
• Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor

Requirements

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Requires knowledge and proficiency in the use of all golf course maintenance equipment.
• Must be able to operate golf course maintenance equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work in the heat for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers and members.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
