Position Summary

The Dishwasher / Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and food preparation areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations, kitchen work areas, and storage areas.
  • Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
  • Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Report on equipment maintenance issues and assistance with other kitchen duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods. 
  • Grasp, lift, push, pull, carry, or transport up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
  • Vacation scheduling during off-season months as business needs allow.
