Specialists in Companion Animal Neurology is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our specialty Neurology & Surgery team in Naples, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Technician who is passionate about anesthesia, surgery, and advanced patient care to work alongside board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons while expanding their skills in a highly specialized practice.

Compensation 

  • $20.00–$30.00 per hour starting, based on experience, skills, and credentials

  • Participation in an after-hours surgical on-call rotation with 1.5x pay and bonus opportunities

  • Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus available for Licensed Veterinary Technicians (CVT/LVT/RVT)

  • Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus available for experienced unlicensed Veterinary Technicians

Schedule

Responsibilities

  • Assist board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons with consultations, diagnostics, and treatment plans.

  • Provide anesthesia monitoring for advanced neurology and surgical procedures.

  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection.

  • Deliver exceptional inpatient nursing care and continuous patient monitoring.

  • Assist with MRI procedures and advanced neurological diagnostics.

  • Prepare patients for surgery and support intraoperative and postoperative care.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.

  • Educate clients on patient care, medications, and discharge instructions.

  • Collaborate with specialists and fellow Veterinary Technicians to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment and surgical environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous Veterinary Technician experience required. Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT, LVT, or RVT) are strongly encouraged to apply; experienced Veterinary Technicians with advanced surgical or specialty backgrounds will also be considered.

  • Experience in neurology, surgery, anesthesia, emergency, or specialty medicine preferred.

  • Strong technical skills including anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, patient nursing, and laboratory procedures.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative specialty team.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to veterinary medicine.

  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills are required for this role. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
