Job Description Summary

‎ 

Medical Assistant II – Full Time (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM)
Location: 400 8th St N, Naples, FL 34102

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant II to support our providers in a fast‑paced outpatient and hospital‑based environment. This role focuses on patient care, clinical support, and smooth daily operations.

How will you make an impact & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient intakes, vitals, medical histories, and medication/allergy reviews

  • Assist with exams, minor procedures, wound care, EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection

  • Prepare and process lab samples and point‑of‑care tests

  • Maintain infection control, safety standards, and equipment readiness

  • Document accurately in the EHR and support patient education

  • Schedule appointments, manage referrals/authorizations, and verify insurance

  • Support triage, care coordination, and communication across care teams

  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and participate in quality improvement activities

  • Provide excellent service to patients and team members

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • 2+ year of experience in a clinic, physician office, or hospital

  • BLS certification required; MA certification required

  • Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, etc.)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

  • Strong clinical, documentation, and computer skills

  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work well in a fast‑paced setting

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary with occasional lifting up to 15 lbs (up to 50 lbs with assistance)

  • Frequent hand and wrist movements; requires close visual acuity for documentation and computer use
