Chateau Napoleon Caring is looking for a dependable, organized, and compassionate Ward Clerk to support our Nursing Department. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and being part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of our residents.
Schedule
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
What You’ll Do
Nursing Department Support
- Verify the daily census and prepare and distribute census reports.
- Process admission and discharge records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and route calls appropriately.
- Schedule appointments and assist with coordinating resident needs.
- Provide administrative support to the Nursing Department.
- Assist residents, families, and visitors with questions and requests.
- Run facility errands, including traveling to local supply sources as needed.
- Work cooperatively with residents, families, nursing staff, physicians, consultants, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Complete assigned duties and support the nursing team as needed.
Supply Support
- Inventory and stock supplies at nursing stations and designated supply areas.
- Distribute supplies to nursing staff as needed.
- Assist the Central Supply Director with assigned duties.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate supply needs or shortages to the appropriate team member.
Resident & Family Support
- Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Direct questions and requests to the appropriate member of the care team.
- Provide courteous and compassionate service to residents and their representatives.
- Help create a welcoming and organized environment for residents and their families.
Privacy & Safety
- Maintain the confidentiality of residents’ protected health information (PHI).
- Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding resident privacy and confidentiality.
- Follow computer and information-security procedures.
- Immediately report suspected resident abuse to the Administrator.
- Follow all facility safety policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable and organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Comfortable working with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete administrative tasks.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous healthcare, long-term care, clerical, or administrative experience is a plus.
- CNA certification preferred, but not required.
