US Rod in Nappanee, Indiana is sourcing for an experienced Maintenance Technician. 

 

This position will train on first shift (5AM-3:30PM Monday through Friday, weekends as required). After training is complete, it will transition to a swing shift (12PM-9PM Monday through Friday). Eventually, it will transition to support a staffed second shift (3PM-11:30PM Monday through Friday). Candidates applying for this role should be available for any of these shift hours. 

 

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner. 
  • Work with a partner in most cases. 
  • Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized. 
  • Responsible to perform the equipment and facility preventive maintenance as scheduled. 
  • Contract service suppliers and materials for necessary repairs or PM according to plan. 
  • Information planning and production for the scheduled PM.
  • Supporting manufacturing team for shorter unplanned downtime.

 

Education and Training

  • High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Experience

  • Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus. 
  • Experience with Rockwell or Fanuc software a plus. 
  • PLC/Allan Bradley, robotics experience a plus

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills. 
  • Possess basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. 
  • Able to follow instructions. 
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • General use of tools and measuring equipment.

  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
