US Rod in Nappanee, Indiana is sourcing for an experienced Maintenance Technician.Â
Â
This position will train on first shift (5AM-3:30PM Monday through Friday, weekends as required). After training is complete, it will transition to a swing shift (12PM-9PM Monday through Friday). Eventually, it will transition to support a staffed second shift (3PM-11:30PM Monday through Friday). Candidates applying for this role should be available for any of these shift hours.Â

Specific ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner.Â
- Work with a partner in most cases.Â
- Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized.Â
- Responsible to perform the equipment and facility preventive maintenance as scheduled.Â
- Contract service suppliers and materials for necessary repairs or PM according to plan.Â
- Information planning and production for the scheduled PM.
- Supporting manufacturing team for shorter unplanned downtime.
Â
Education and Training
- High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
Â
Experience
- Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.Â
- Experience with Rockwell or Fanuc software a plus.Â
- PLC/Allan Bradley, robotics experience a plus
Â
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.Â
- Possess basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.Â
- Able to follow instructions.Â
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- General use of tools and measuring equipment.
