US Rod in Nappanee, Indiana is sourcing for a Quality Technician Inspector.Â
The morning shift position works 5AM - 3:30PM Monday through Friday.
The afternoon shift position works 3PM- 1:30AM Monday through Friday.Â
Specific Responsibilities
- Perform material and product tests using quality lab test equipment and formal testing methods.Â
- Perform in-process audits and internal audits to verify standard operating procedures are being followed.Â
- Maintain quality records and samples per written procedures.Â
- Work with production supervisors within a team environment in meeting customer quality requirements and solve quality issues.Â
- Communicate effectively with all manufacturing personnel, next shift personnel and others in a professional manner.Â
- Assist Quality Manager as directed.Â
- Prepare records, reports and enter data to provide documentation and to support Quality department.Â
Education and Training
- High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
Experience
- Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.Â
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.Â
- Possess basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.Â
- Able to follow instructions.Â
