US Rod in Nappanee, Indiana is sourcing for a Quality Technician Inspector. 

The morning shift position works 5AM - 3:30PM Monday through Friday.

The afternoon shift position works 3PM- 1:30AM Monday through Friday. 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform material and product tests using quality lab test equipment and formal testing methods. 
  • Perform in-process audits and internal audits to verify standard operating procedures are being followed. 
  • Maintain quality records and samples per written procedures. 
  • Work with production supervisors within a team environment in meeting customer quality requirements and solve quality issues. 
  • Communicate effectively with all manufacturing personnel, next shift personnel and others in a professional manner. 
  • Assist Quality Manager as directed. 
  • Prepare records, reports and enter data to provide documentation and to support Quality department. 

Education and Training

  • High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience

  • Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus. 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills. 
  • Possess basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. 
  • Able to follow instructions.
