JOB STEP Journeyman – Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently. Certified Journeyman –Requires attainment of NCCER certifications written and/or practical. Leadman - Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in work crew, providing assistance to Foreman, while working in the capacity of a journeyman. Maintenance SUMMARY Tests chemical and physical properties of materials used in manufacturing or assembling motor vehicles RESPONSIBILITIES - Performs standard chemical and physical tests on parts, solutions, and materials used in producing motor vehicles, using conventional and computerized machines and work aids. - Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine chemical and physical properties of experimental and developmental materials - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS May require a high school diploma and previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. |
