About the Job:

We are seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth front desk operations for our patients and staff.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet, direct, and register patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and request authorizations.
  • Collect and verify demographic information and registration consent forms.
  • Update patient data in medical records and databases.
  • Collect and post co-payments, balance daily batches accurately.
  • Scan and index documentation, process insurance information, and communicate appropriately.
  • Schedule interpreters when needed and provide backup support to other administrative staff.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Demonstrate positive engagement and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.

Who You Are / Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in a customer service position preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills and caring, compassionate customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with reception tasks and clinic policies; understanding of medical terminology preferred.
