Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time or part-time Barista to join our team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Barista, you will deliver excellent guest service through mastery of Starbucks coffee knowledge and recipes, educating guests about drink options, and making beverages to brand specifications.Â

Responsibilities
- Greet guests and suggest items using suggestive selling techniques.Â
- Serve food and Starbucks beverage items in correct proportions, following all health, safety, and proper sanitation guidelines.Â
- Assist in opening or closing of the location including performing clean up duties.Â
- Record all transactions via the point of sale system.Â
- Collect the proper money for food and beverage items; process credit cards or determine correct change for guests.Â
- Account for all transactions; maintain accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift.Â
- Ensure lounge is restocked, replenished and cleaned at the end of each shift. Â
- All other duties as assigned. Â
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old to apply. Â
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.Â
- Previous Barista experience preferred.Â
- Ability to follow product preparation and serving protocols consistently to meet company standards.Â
- Ability to operate a POS system to record orders, process payments and accept and account for cash transactions accurately.Â
- Display commitment to extending professional, friendly guest service to guests, co-workers and management.Â
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.Â
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.Â
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Â
- Ability to remain stationary for the entire length of shift.Â
- Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds.Â
- Visual and hearing acuity sufficient to record and process transactions.Â
