Hunt Community, a non-profit facility located in Nashua, NH, is currently seeking a couple more Per Diem RN/LPNs for our Community! Flexible days are available; just ask and we are happy to discuss with you!  Join our amazing nursing team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring Residents!

Schedule: 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a

Responsibilities

  • As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient health problems, administering nursing care to ill, disabled, convalescent, or injured patients, maintaining vital medical records, implementing nursing care plans, advising patients on health maintenance, and providing guidance about preventative services, such as health screenings and medications.
  • Overseeing entire operations of healthcare units, including resident rooms, common areas and dining areas, while overseeing the nursing care of patients in her/his care.
  • Assigning duties, delegating responsibilities, and coordinating patient care according to the abilities of nursing department staff.
  • Assume responsibilities for execution of the doctor's orders.
  • Administration of medications as prescribed by physician and performing treatments as prescribed and necessary.
  • Accurately reporting patient symptoms, reactions and progress, and being responsible for recording of medications, treatments and observations.
  • Completing monthly summaries on nursing and assisted living residents.
  • Promoting care that maximizes patient independence.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of nursing care of members.
  • Helping develop patient care plans in the nursing unit and the assisted living area.
  • Preparing monthly employee schedules and updating.
  • Maintaining good relationships with residents and their families and friends; co-workers.
  • Maintaining a comfortable, orderly, safe environment for residents, staff and self.
  • Identifying nursing problems needing study and working toward their solution.
  • Participating in the establishment of objectives and policies of nursing service.
  • Participating in evaluation of her personnel.
  • Providing direct nursing care when necessary.
  • Assuming all other duties as assigned by DNS.
  • Attending an annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know information and fire and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate knowledge and competence in her/his area of practice by vigilant patient observation and assessment.
  • Development and implementation of nursing care plans and therapeutic interpersonal relation­ships with patients and their families. 
  • She/he should demonstrate the ability to supervise and teach other personnel and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Qualifications should include graduation from a state accredited school of nursing, current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of New Hampshire and progressive experience in the nursing field.
