Nashua Center of Nashua, NH is looking to hire A full-time Residential House Manager to manage day-to-day operations of the group home to ensure a safe, supportive and well-run environment for the three individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 year degree in Human Services, or relevant field and minimum 4 years' experience supervising staff in a human services, healthcare, or residential setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities, acquired brain disorders, and person-centered supports preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to communicate through and perform effectively with Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, Teams and electronic filing systems.
  • Must be able to relate to and advocate for adults with disabilities.
  • Ability to function effectively within a team structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

  • Conduct interviews, complete reference checks, and coordinate orientation for newly hired employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable state and federal labor laws.
  • Support the Assistant House Manager in coordinating staff training, professional development, and performance evaluations, ensuring all required training and evaluations are completed on time.
  • Oversee the delivery of person-centered services to ensure individuals' daily living, personal care, health, safety, and community participation needs are consistently met.
  • Serve as the primary leadership mentor for residential staff by providing coaching, guidance, professional development, and ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant House Manager to strengthen communication among residential staff through regular staff meetings and ongoing team collaboration.
  • Provide transportation and accompany individuals to medical or other appointments as needed when the Assistant House Manager is unavailable or coverage is required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and individual rights, ensuring they are consistently followed.
  • Implement organizational objectives in collaboration with the Assistant House Manager while maintaining high standards of care and overseeing day-to-day residential operations.
  • Coordinate pre-Individual Service Assessments (Pre-ISAs), support development of Individual Service Assessment (ISA) goals and objectives and attend planning meetings as appropriate.
  • Promote the organization's mission, values, strategic initiatives, and positive community presence through professional leadership and representation.
  • Identify home maintenance, accessibility, and safety concerns and report hazards or needed repairs promptly to the Senior Residential Manager.
  • Maintain household budget accounts in collaboration with the Senior Residential Manager.
  • Ensure fire safety compliance by reviewing emergency procedures and conducting required quarterly fire drills.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and assume additional on-call responsibilities during the Assistant House Manager's absence.
  • Use a personal vehicle for work-related travel as required while maintaining valid driver's license, vehicle registration, insurance, and compliance with all applicable state requirements.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene, when operational needs require.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and organizational skills by applying policies, completing administrative responsibilities, prioritizing multiple assignments, and responding effectively to crisis situations.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals supported, families, guardians, coworkers, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes respect, accountability, and high-quality services.
  • Attend and complete all required staff development, professional education, and mandatory training programs.
  • Attend all meetings assigned by the Senior House Manager and/or the Senior Manager of Residential Services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach, carry supplies, and sustain periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and assist individuals when necessary.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in the on-call rotation.

 

Will need to undergo a criminal background check, a driving record check and DCYF check.
