Position Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure that empowers data-driven decision-making across all business functions. You will serve as a subject matter expert and data steward, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality analytics solutions while upholding governance standards and industry’s best practices. This role will report to the Manager, BI Engineering within the Tech Services organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting solutions that support analytics needs across all business units.
- Assemble and integrate complex datasets that satisfy both functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Maintain and optimize existing reports, dashboards, and data pipelines to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Act as a companywide subject matter expert for enterprise analytics.
- Invoke and observe data governance standards across all systems and processes.
- Monitor and support change management controls in alignment with internal audit and compliance requirements.
- Respond to and resolve system tickets submitted by end users, including break/fix support and root cause analysis.
- Recommend and implement improvements to data workflows, processes, and infrastructure to enhance reliability, efficiency, and data quality.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to streamline operations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and foster relationships.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and data findings to stakeholders in a clear manner.
- Educate team members and end users as needed on analytics systems and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, analytics, or a related quantitative field; equivalent professional experience (5+ years) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in a Data Engineer or equivalent technical role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with BI visualization platforms such as Power BI.
- Working knowledge of data governance principles, access control frameworks, and change management methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools and Power Platform.
- Experience using Microsoft Fabric with focus in Lakehouse development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Corporate Real Estate industry.
- Proficiency in Python with data extraction and ingestion.
- Prior experience in finance or an accounting function.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance processes and standards.
- Experience in integrating AI/ML capabilities or large language model tooling.
