Job Summary:
The Associate, Outsourced Finance & Accounting is responsible for performing general accounting functions for small to mid-size organizations.
Job Duties:
- Prepares and processes accounts payable invoices
- Processes accounts receivable transactions
- Processes general ledger reconciliation (cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets)
- Assists with basic financial statement preparation and account reconciliations
- Participates in basic audit preparation
- Performs basic payroll processing
- Completes all appropriate data entry within client financial systems
- Interacts with client staff to gain information, documents, and data necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Communicates significant client issues to supervisor
- Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- GED, required
- Associate’s degree, preferred
Experience:
- Internship / work study or one (1) year of experience performing general accounting transactions and functions, preferred
License/Certifications:
- N/A
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, requiredÂ
- Experience utilizing industry standard accounting software such as Great Plains, Peachtree, QuickBooks and/or Solomon, required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and basic research skillsÂ
- Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
- Able to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyÂ
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmÂ
- Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, finance, tax, and investment principles
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
