Possess knowledge of the restaurant menu and recommend beverage pairings to enhance guest satisfaction. Serve all courses and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages to guests, upholding service standards in a fine dining setting. Remain informed about daily specials and maintain awareness of menu items throughout the shift. Complete guest orders with the use of suggestive selling techniques and input them into the system, ensuring accurate transmission to the kitchen. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of table arrangements, room capacity, hours of operation, and uphold restaurant dress code. Possess in-depth knowledge of liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, and correct glassware and garnishes. Acquire extensive knowledge of wines, champagnes, and menu items, including preparation methods, ingredients, and quality standards. Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, adhering to all departmental policies and service procedures. Complete opening side duties, including stock and supplies check, napkin folding, and preparation of cold food items. Assist leadership team with inventory as requested. Organize and prepare assigned station prior to guest arrival, following service standards. Review reserved tables and follow up on special arrangements for pre-assigned tables.                                                                                                                                                                                    Craft and serve drinks with friendliness, courtesy, and timeliness, adhering to established guidelines, policies, and safety procedures mandated by the company, state, and hotel. Comply with all Local, State, Federal, and corporate regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages. Clear tables of trash and used glassware, ensuring cleanliness of tablecloths and the surrounding area. Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift. Complete closing side duties, including storing reusable goods, equipment cleaning, and restocking for the next service. Remove all dirty linen, marry and stock condiments, and reset tables for the next meal period. Complete closing reports as assigned and report to the supervisor before leaving duty. Attend department meetings and follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description. Maintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests; please refer to Section 2.4 in the Team Member Handbook for specific examples.  Qualifications Qualifications, Job Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Abilities: Must have advanced knowledge of service of various alcoholic beverages High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to communicate, verbally, effectively with guests and co-workers; respond to guest requests Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock. Competence in handling cash and credit card transactions. Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time. Maintains professionalism at all times, demonstrating courtesy and respect to guests and co-workers  Physical requirements of the position and work environment: Must be able to walk, climb stairs. Must be able to bend, stoop, and crouch. Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, push and pull. Must have good near and far vision. Must be able to hear, talk, smell. Must be able to lift & carry up to 50 pounds. Duties may be performed indoors or outdoors.
