Your Opportunity

The role of a mid-level engineer is to work on projects both small and large, and as a team member under the close guidance and supervision of a senior engineer. You will perform a variety of tasks related to civil engineering in support of dam, power, and infrastructure projects that may include calculations, field work, coordination of tasks and assignments, and client interaction. In general, a mid-level civil engineer will assist more senior engineers by leading and/or performing aspects of civil engineering assignments.

Your Key Responsibilities

Conducts analyses and calculations and performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned and under the direction of a Project Technical Lead or Senior Engineer.
May perform field work related to geotechnical explorations and/or construction related activities.
Assists Project Technical Leads and Project Managers in preparing designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports.
Manage and lead other team members while working on projects, complete tasks and delegate specific project tasks to other team members as appropriate.
Assists in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the discipline.
Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
