Job Title: SFSP Intern Data & Compliance Assistant 

 Work Location: 2233 Winford Avenue, Nashville TN 37211- Portable 

 Overview: 
The Summer Program Data & Compliance Assistant is responsible for providing organized and detail-oriented support to the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This intern will play a key role in monitoring software systems, generating reports, submitting meal counts, and ensuring compliance with program requirements. The position offers hands-on experience in data management, reporting, and program operations within a community-based setting. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor program software for accuracy and functionality throughout the internship period. 

  • Input and submit daily meal counts for breakfast and lunch. 

  • Generate and distribute reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) summarizing program data and usage trends. 

  • Train and assist team members on how to use the software for reporting and recordkeeping. 

  • Assist with review daily meal consumption and ticket records to ensure compliance with SFSP and agency policies. 

  • Support daily food orders and help verify quantities received. 

  • Assist with documentation and preparation for compliance reviews or audits. 

  • Collaborate with staff to identify and resolve reporting discrepancies in a timely manner. 

  • Assist in other tasks assigned by program leadership (Community Outreach Director and Nutrition Services Manager) 

 Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (preferred fields: Business, Data Analytics, Nutrition, Public Administration, or related). 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, or similar data management tools. 

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Comfortable learning new software and guiding others through system tasks. 

  • Interest in community nutrition programs, data analysis, or nonprofit management.  

     

Key features of the College Ambassador program:

  • If you are selected as a College Ambassador Team Member, you will earn $18.00 an hour.

  • Must be current college student ages 19 to 22.

  • Diverse work experiences across multiple Davidson County worksites.

  • Enhancement of leadership abilities and community engagement skills

The full program is May 26th – July 17th 

May 22nd:                       College Ambassador attend virtual orientation from 10am – 11am. 

          Link will be sent, if you are placed in a position.   

 

May 26th – May 29th       College Ambassador Training week with Employer.

 

June 1st and July 17th     Regular worksite schedule given by supervisor.

                                    

July 17th                           Last day of program.
