Position Overview
Healthpeak is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal or other contracting professional to support contracting and asset management initiatives across its Outpatient Medical and Lab portfolios. This role provides dedicated, high-touch support to a small group of real estate attorneys (typically 1–2), drafting and managing operational documentation, coordinating legal workflows, and supporting asset-level activity across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:

Asset and Property Management Support

  • Provide dedicated support to assigned attorneys (1–2) for asset-level legal matters
  • Coordinate preparation and execution of property-level contracts, NDAs and ancillary agreements (hold harmless, licenses, access agreements, vendor/service documentation)
  • Review master service contracts and related vendor/service agreements, coordinating execution and tracking key terms
  • Assist with notices, lease administration items, and other asset-driven legal requests
  • Track and manage documentation tied to property-level operations

Workflow Management & Systems

  • Manage intake, assignment, and tracking of legal requests through internal systems
  • Monitor workflow for assigned attorneys to ensure timely progression and execution
  • Maintain consistency in processing asset-related legal work across the portfolio

Data Integrity & Document Control

  • Maintain accurate records of executed documents and asset-level activity
  • Ensure alignment between legal documentation and system data (key dates, terms, property records)
  • Manage document organization, version control, and transaction file integrity

Process Execution & Improvement

  • Identify workflow gaps and implement practical improvements supporting asset management
  • Support updates to templates, forms, and standard processes
  • Contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives, including exploring AI tools to streamline legal operations

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as liaison between assigned attorneys, Asset Management, and Property Management
  • Facilitate intake and triage of asset-level legal requests
  • Proactively flag issues or inconsistencies impacting execution
Position Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate legal support, legal operations, or asset/property management support
  • Strong drafting skills and understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, asset operations, and transaction workflows
  • Experience with legal workflow or document management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; notary commission a plus
  • Strong organizational and data management skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting dedicated stakeholders
