Job DetailsJob Location: Whites Creek, TN 37189Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayCompany: Dreamliner Transportation Department: Operations / Safety Reports To: Director of Operations / General Manager Work Location: In Person at our Whites Creek, TN location     Position Summary Dreamliner Coaches is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee all aspects of DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance for our Trucking Division, company safety policies, and risk management. This role is critical to ensuring the safe operation of our fleet, compliance with all federal and state transportation laws, and fostering a culture of safety among our drivers and staff.   Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Ensure full compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state transportation regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including: Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) Hours of Service (HOS) logs and ELD data Vehicle inspection and maintenance records Drug & alcohol testing program Prepare for and manage DOT audits, compliance reviews, and inspections. Track and renew all required permits, licenses, and registrations (e.g., UCR, IFTA, IRP). Safety Program Management Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Lead accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis. Monitor trends in safety violations, accidents, and claims; work with DTS management to implement corrective action plans. Oversee driver safety training and continuing education, including defensive driving, HOS compliance, and pre-trip inspections. Chair or participate in safety committee meetings. Driver & Fleet Oversight Conduct safety orientation for new drivers and ensure all onboarding requirements are met. Monitor driver behavior through telematics/ELD data and address violations or risky patterns. Coordinate with dispatch and maintenance to ensure safe vehicle operations. Collaborate with HR and DTS Management in evaluating driver eligibility and handling disciplinary actions related to safety or compliance. Risk Management Liaise with insurance providers regarding claims, coverage, and incident documentation. Ensure incident reports are filed correctly and in a timely manner. Recommend improvements to reduce risk exposure across operations. Qualifications  Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in DOT/FMCSA compliance and/or transportation safety. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, including Part 382, 383, 391, 395, 396, etc. Familiarity with ELD systems, driver logs, and fleet telematics. Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Strong communication and training abilities. Able to travel to other Dreamliner Transportation locations. Preferred: Experience in the motor coach or passenger transportation industry. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credentials a plus. Prior experience managing or conducting DOT audits.
