Key Responsibilities
路 Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and menus
路 Follow special dietary requirements (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, cardiac diets)
路 Assist with catering services for meetings, events, and special functions
路 Ensure proper food portioning, temperature control, and presentation
路 Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas
路 Store food properly and label items according to safety guidelines
路 Monitor inventory and report shortages or waste
路 Work collaboratively with dietitians and kitchen staff
Qualifications
路 High school diploma or GED (preferred)
路 Previous cooking experience (hospital, catering, restaurant, or institutional setting)
路 Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
路 Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions
路 Strong time management and teamwork skills
Certifications (Preferred)
路 Food Handler鈥檚 Permit or ServSafe Certification
路 Basic knowledge of nutrition standards in healthcare settings
Work Environment & Schedule
路 Fast-paced hospital kitchen environment
路 May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
路 Standing for long periods and lifting kitchen supplies
