Mechanical Resource Group (MRG) is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician. The PM Technician role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining large commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

What you'll do

  • Perform preventative maintenance in a professional, high quality, timely manner.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including RTU’s, chillers, air handlers, VRF/VRV systems, and split systems. Replace/repair various components as needed.

  • Handle a heavy schedule of maintenance work.

  • Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have client sign necessary paperwork.

  • Additional duties as required.

What will help you succeed

You may be a strong fit if you bring:

  • 1-3 years of experience in maintaining HVAC systems or relevant military experience.

  • Competencies on troubleshooting systems up to 100 tons.

  • Proficiency with boilers up to 1 million BTU.

  • Understanding on how to properly pull vacuums on systems to appropriate micron level and understands how to perform decay test.

  • Understanding on how to recover refrigerant properly and quickly in a safe manner.

  • Understanding on how to properly charge HVAC systems with various types of refrigerants by using superheat and subcooling.

  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations.

  • A valid driver's license, safe driving record, and be able and willing to operate company-owned vehicles.
