Position Summary
The Loan Partner serves as a key member of the mortgage team, supporting Loan Officers by managing the loan process from application through closing. This role is responsible for gathering documentation, maintaining communication with clients and referral partners, ensuring file completeness, and helping create a smooth and efficient mortgage experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication & Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers during the loan process.
- Collect required documentation from clients and ensure timely submission.
- Provide regular updates to borrowers, Realtors, title companies, and other stakeholders.
- Answer client questions regarding loan status and required documentation.
Loan File Management
- Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and maintain loan files in compliance with company and investor guidelines.
- Monitor loan milestones and ensure deadlines are met.
- Track conditions and assist borrowers in satisfying underwriting requirements.
Processing Support
- Submit files for processing and underwriting review.
- Coordinate with processors, underwriters, appraisers, title companies, and closing agents.
- Review credit reports, income documents, assets, and other supporting documentation.
- Ensure all disclosures and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Relationship Management
- Support Loan Officers in maintaining relationships with Realtors, builders, financial advisors, and past clients.
- Assist with follow-up activities, client retention initiatives, and referral partner communication.
- Help deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the transaction.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records in the Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Schedule appointments and manage pipeline activities.
- Prepare reports and status updates for Loan Officers and management.
- Assist with marketing and database management as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous mortgage, banking, real estate, or financial services experience preferred.
- Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and non-QM loan programs is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with mortgage technology platforms, LOS systems, Microsoft Office, and CRM software.
- High attention to detail and commitment to customer service.
