Job DetailsJob Location: Donelson - Nashville, TN 37214Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: FinanceTo support the mortgage lending operations booking and funding of loans, preparation of loan documents and reports, and maintaining recordkeeping. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Prepares forms, checks, letters, wiring instructions and other documents used for booking, disbursing and recording mortgage loans and related funds and payments. Scans, maintains and organizes mortgage loan records, ensuring information is available and accessible. Disposes of records when necessary and assists with researching loan files as needed. Provides necessary reporting to third party providers involved in the credit union's mortgage operations. Monitors invoices and aids in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts along with the Accounting Department. Responsible for supporting the internal audit process of mortgage and HELOC loan packages through a third party. This includes uploading loan packages as requested, monitoring and reviewing audit results, and taking corrective action as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy. Maintains HMDA information on a regular basis and submits the annual HMDA reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepares and maintains mortgage spreadsheets and various reporting mechanisms on an ongoing basis. Provides these reports to necessary parties in a timely manner. Provides backup support to the Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant, including responsibilities related to escrow account analysis and processing escrow distributions. Performs numerous other job related duties such as assigned. Expectations: To assist with the booking and funding of mortgage loans by completing forms, cutting checks and any related tasks, as assigned. To maintain mortgage files in a compliant and organized manner conducive to research and ease of use. To accurately prepare and deliver all reports, both internal and external, in a timely and accurate manner. To assist members and coworkers with questions related to mortgage in a timely and accurate manner. To develop and maintain a working knowledge of mortgage products and rates within the credit union and the mortgage industry as a whole. To provide friendly, professional and accurate service to all members, potential members, associates, and all callers within and outside the department; answering telephone immediately and responding to all communication within established service goal guidelines. To complete other assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Qualifications One year to three years of similar related experience. A high school education or GED. Work involves much contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.   Working Environment/Physical Demands: Work involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, etc. Employees work primarily in an office setting under generally favorable working conditions. The job requires walking, sitting, bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time, or similar activities.
