Responsibilities

Assist Prep Floor Manager in supervision of techs assigned to prep process area of responsibility (prep floor, storeroom, etc.) ensuring all orders/assignments are completed and communicated. Provides coaching, mentoring and development to all assigned team members encouraging the acquisition of additional skills, knowledge, and experience. Assist Prep Floor Manager to assign daily workload-based resources, customer requirements, etc. Provides opportunities where possible for staff to utilize and challenge newly acquired skills. Assist clients during and after prep with any equipment related questions or issues. To liaise with customer and all internal departments to deliver the highest customer service and quality in the fulfillment of a client order

 

Essential functions

  • Assist with day-to-day management and supervision of Prep techs assigned to prep floor. This includes quality check of all their work, on the job training (technical, process and customer service) and ensuring adherence to all deadlines and company procedures
  • Ensure and monitor all resources supporting the prep floor to ensure the utmost in customer service: proactively greet clients, actively meet all requests during prep, discuss with clients the job specifics to ensure they leave with the appropriate gear for their job, make clients feel supported in house and out in field
  • Assist Prep Floor Manager to oversee resources which locate and pick client’s equipment orders following detailed company procedures for equipment preparation and shipping. Ensure equipment works to PRG specifications and the accurate functioning of various components.
  • Track parts and equipment shortages and report weekly (or as required)
  • Ensure all customer equipment packages are assembled complete and ensure proper fit of all components as final test prior to release and/or testing by client. All cases and other accessories cleaned and presentable to client.
  • Work with clients as their equipment requirements change during testing, fielding questions and seeking technical support from supervisors when necessary. Monitor closely the adds/deletes during prep and communicate all changes to Sales rep for review / approval (if needed)
  • Identify potential faults to equipment and be able to decide best course of action to rectify/eliminate. Notify Rental, Service and Sales on equipment that is not available, or the status has changed.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, new equipment becoming available, and our competitor’s inventory. Make suggestions on purchasing and upgrading Panavision inventory to stay competitive.
  • Other duties as required

Physical demands

 Required education and experience

  • Extensive AV/TV/Film industry experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent education, Bachelors preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience working in a Windows / MAC OS based environment
