Job Summary: The Project Manager, Design is responsible for overseeing engineering and architectural design, bid evaluation, contract administration, project scheduling, and quality control for capital projects requiring architectural and engineering capability.

Salary Range: $93,403 - $160,755

*Final salary offer will be based on relevant skills and experience to the position

Essential Responsibilities:

Oversees engineering and architectural design, bid evaluation, contract administration, project scheduling, and quality control.
Review and be familiar with project plan drawings and specifications.
Schedules and conducts design progress meetings.
Coordinates activities with outside agencies to ensure timely completion of projects.
Coordinates with end-users to ensure required functions of projects are accurate.
Ensures projects are completed within the stipulated time and allocated budget.
Reviews requested modifications to facilities.
Performs periodic site observations and provides findings. Limited travel between MNAA properties.
Follows all safety regulations.
Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
Supports MNAA’s commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
Performs other duties as assigned.

Building and Construction: Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
Construction Practices: Knowledge of construction practices, specifications and plans, and site development.
Computer Use: Skill in using a personal computer, the internet, and other software to perform job-related functions.
Data Entry and Retrieval: Skill in quickly and accurately entering data into and retrieving data from computer applications.
Data Processing: Skill in interpreting, defining, analyzing, and presenting data from various sources.
Reporting: Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports.
Supervision of Personnel: Skill in supervising and managing others, including planning work, providing direction, motivating workers, and identifying the best workers for the job.
Relationship Building: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with others.
Driving: Skill in operating a motor vehicle.
Written Comprehension: Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Written Expression: Ability to use words and sentences in writing so others will understand.

Independence: Develops one's own ways of doing things, guides oneself with little or no supervision, makes independent decisions, and depends on oneself to get things done.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) and Air Operations Area (AOA) Badge.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
4-7 years of experience in a related field
Valid Class D Driver's license

Preferred:

7-10 years of experience in a related field
Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) certification
