Blevins, Inc., a financially strong, privately owned wholesaler of building supplies, is searching for an experienced Analyst reporting to the VP of Purchasing in Nashville, TN. The Purchasing Analyst is responsible for providing support for the purchasing team, planning, and driving activities and projects that impact the company.

Responsible for participating on the Blevins Purchasing Team to improve the supply chain resiliency and efficiency of Blevins, Inc. Evaluates both inventory and supplier performance using KPI's to drive improvement. Supports the team in making appropriate purchasing decisions that deliver cost savings. Analyze company inventory to improve turns company-wide. Duties also include generating supplier forecasts, develop purchase plans, monitor critical raw materials, and keep abreast of economic trends to assist in making informed purchasing decisions.

 

ONSITE JOB - NASHVILLE TN

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and improving supply chain operations.
  • Create and fully utilize KPI's to measure supplier performance geared to drive supplier performance.
  • Apply KPI's to identify underperforming inventory. Initiate action to reduce inventory & generate cost savings.
  • Assist in resolving day-to-day supply chain issues and promote operational consistency.
  • Analyze economic order quantities to support inventory investment to maximize ROI.
  • Produce data to aid with negotiating improved contracts with existing suppliers.
  • Develop system to regularly monitor key raw material cost fluctuations and interpret findings.
  • Create and provide forecast plans to Blevins top suppliers monthly.
  • Track supplier rebate programs and assist in driving maximum utilization.
  • Strong cross-departmental collaboration skills.
  • Special projects as directed by VP of Purchasing.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions and present solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent follow up.
  • Prior experience with project management, supply chain management or procurement.
