Boot Factory Outlet at Opry Mills Mall has an exciting opportunity.


 Boots are like loyal companions for our feet. Whether it’s sturdy hiking boots, sleek ankle boots, or classic cowboy boots, each pair has its own story to tell. As an Inventory Supervisor you're the expert at keeping product moving from the stockroom to the salesfloor through shipment processing, replenishment, and inventory management. You lead, coach, and develop your team to provide associates and management with excellent front and back of house support. 


YOU'D BE GREAT FOR THIS ROLE IF:

You love organization and have attention to detail; priority-setting and time management are your strong suits.

You have flexible availability- you're there to get product moving early in the morning, late in the evening and on the weekends. 

Minimum of 2-3 years of retail experience.

Experience leading a team and/or supervising others.

Superior communication skills including written and verbal

You've got an eye for talent and a love for training.

You are reliable and punctual


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises proper unloading of shipping cartons from commercial carriers and verifying carton count per the delivery receipt.
  • Ensures all packing lists are accurately checked per the contents of the shipping cartons.
  • Supervises stock placement such as the backroom or sales floor.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Ensures accurate inventory controls by ensuring that all merchandise has an accurate and complete barcode, as well as categorizing merchandise by gender, brand, style, and size.
  • Directs the work of stock personnel by communicating daily work assignments and instructions on how to perform assigned tasks; reviews work to ensure tasks are completed; answers questions about merchandise, tasks, and Company procedures; and provides personnel with feedback on work performance.
  • Responsible for scheduling stock associates.

Requirements

Essential Physical Requirements: (bending, reaching, and standing/walking for the entire shift)

  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the warehouse.
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the stock area, generally weighing 0 - 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates

Restrictions to duties:

  • Use of non-OSHA compliant ladders, or ladders that are more than three rungs high and any activity that isn’t ergonomically correct.
  • Excessive lifting. Some lifting may be required, but excessive lifting is prohibited (more than 50 lbs for an extended period of time)
  • Manual movement of multiple boxes without use of a dolly.
  • Unloading of freight from trucks
