We are currently looking for a Risk Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals.

 

Hermitage Hall (a UHS company) is one of Middle Tennessee's largest stand-alone psychiatric residential treatment hospitals. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Risk Management is a key member of the Hermitage Hall leadership team, responsible for overseeing the hospital’s Patient Safety and Risk Management Program. This role leads risk management and compliance activities in accordance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, CARF standards, and regulatory expectations.

The Manager coordinates loss prevention efforts, identifies potential risks, and recommends strategies to reduce exposure and enhance patient care quality. Responsibilities also include providing risk prevention education, supporting departmental risk mitigation initiatives, and coordinating regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and licensure audits.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with CARF standards, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate, track, and analyze incidents, adverse events, grievances, and potential liability exposures.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor risk management policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to leadership regarding risk mitigation strategies and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to identify, evaluate, and address potential risks.
  • Coordinate and support regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and licensure audits.
  • Prepare reports, track trends, and present risk management data and recommendations to leadership.
  • Participates in administrative on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis with other members of the leadership team.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in nursing, social work, social or behavioral science, or other acceptable field preferred
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training preferred
  • Experience in a residential setting preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
