Title Paralegal
Reno & Cavanaugh, PLLC, a law firm with offices in Washington, DC, Nashville, TN, Columbia, MD and New York, NY, seeks a Title Paralegal for the real estate practice in our Nashville, TN office.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to work well both independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment. Candidate will work on complex high-liability commercial real estate deals across multiple states. Strong administrative, time management, and communication skills are required.

As a Title Paralegal, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Providing support to attorneys with mixed-finance transactions, as well as on matters dealing with nonprofits, affordable housing, and low-income housing tax credit
- Underwrite purchase, refinance, leasehold, and construction commercial transactions, evaluating title search data, surveys, and
- Draft and issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements in line with state-specific and national underwriting
- Review and clear title exceptions, resolve curative issues, and communicate with stakeholders to eliminate deal
- Maintain accurate file documentation and prepare reports on open files, issued policies, and revenue
- Serve as the main contact for clients, attorneys, and title companies to provide and seek underwriting
- Support compliance efforts through file audits, AR tracking, and adherence to firm and regulatory standards.

Required Experience:
Â
- Two to four years in commercial title underwriting with experience in TN transactions.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a large professional environment and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and title production and escrow software (e.g. SoftPro Select and Rynoh).
- Active Title Producer License(s) in TN
- In-depth knowledge of commercial title insurance practices, escrow, ALTA standards, and legal documentation.

This full-time position is 5 days a week in the office, with an option to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days a week in the office after 1 year. May require overtime during peak periods or to meet deadlines. Time worked in excess of 40 hours per week will be paid at time and one-half of the hourly rate.
