Social Media Intern

Internship Description/Learning Objectives:

 

Assist with Social Media Content, Campaigns and Messaging for the Metropolitan Action Commission social media platforms. Uphold the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Metro Action including internal and external customer service, teamwork and treatment of all people with respect, dignity and compassion.

Job Duties:

 

  • Under supervision, the social media intern will assist the Communications Department in developing Social Media Content and Campaigns for the agency Social media Platforms.

  • Write social media captions that speak to our target audience
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Take photos and assist with photo/video content
  • Monitor social media content and engagement daily to ensure we are providing timely and appropriate replies and interaction with our followers
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Preferred Competencies:

 

  • Proficient in Social Media skills required; will train on organization-level social media, but must have a working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Experience in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe etc.
  • Attention to detail and copywriting skills
  • Great written and oral communication skills.

If you are selected for YEP Internship as a Work Team Member, you will make $18.00 an hour.
