Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the PROJECT MANAGER position with our Operational Services and Support department located at our corporate office in Nashville, TN. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety and excellence throughout all job functions.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Project planning, permitting, cost estimating, design, drafting, scheduling, installation oversight, coordinating, and reporting.
  • Mechanical, civil, and process design of production facilities and overall project management related to the aggregate and mineral processing industry. 
  • Responsible for scope development, project proposals, cost estimating, permitting, scheduling, design, coordination, and installation oversight and completion of upgrade or replacement projects for aggregate processing equipment. 
  • Responsible for meeting the challenge of growth-oriented assignments and interacting with a variety of people ranging from company executives to external agencies, and contractors.
  • Providing detailed designs for plant retrofit and modification projects.
  • Coordination and oversight of internal and outside engineering, fabrication, and erection services.
  • Preparing proposals, cost estimates and justifications for future projects.
  • Scheduling work to meet completion dates, technical specifications, functional requirements, and budget constraints.
  • May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform other duties not listed.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate technical field: Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer or Mining Engineer preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of Aggregate industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of structural, civil, and mechanical design of aggregate processing plants or related field required.
  • Working knowledge of concrete foundation designs and power transmission systems.
  • Working knowledge of surveying and drafting equipment.
  • Working knowledge of underground mining practices and equipment.
  • Strong detail drafting and steel design with drafting software such as AutoCAD or Inventor.
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows systems (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with design, erection, modification and rebuild of aggregate and asphalt plants.
  • Ability to understand and analyze production flow processes using tools such as AggFlow to eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency.
  • Strong work ethic with a self-motivated desire for excellence.
  • Willingness to work in both office and field environments in all climates, including aggregate and asphalt plant sites.
