| Internship Description/Learning Objectives: Â | Responsible for supporting a safe, enjoyable and enriching camp experience for 1st - 12th grade youth. Objectives: learn leadership skills and risk management processes, gain viable employment skills in the youth services fields. |
| Job Duties: Â | Assisting program staff in executing outdoor activities, bus monitoring, student check in/out, breakfast/lunch monitoring, tutoring, production assistance, set design, costuming, classroom assistance, classroom set up, media center assistant, etc. |
| Preferred Competencies: Â | Ability to engage youth, maintain order, interact appropriately with staff and parents, ability to maintain accurate records, problem solving skills, and complete simple administrative tasks. |

| Work Schedule Days and Hours: Â | Monday-Thursday- 7:00am-1:30pm |
| Dress Code: Â | Active/casual wear shorts no higher than mid-thigh, no halter tops, clothing should contain/portray no alcohol/drug/profanity/illegal activity. |

| Physical Requirements: Â | Ability to run, play, lift/carry supplies up to 25 lb. |

The full program is June 1st – July 17th  Â
June 1st – June 3rd:  Interns attend work readiness skills training from 8am – 12pm.
June 4th:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Attend employer orientation meeting.
June 5th:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â POWER Youth Summit at Sheraton Music City Nashville Airport
June 8th – July 17th:  Youth will report to their employer worksite location on Monday –Â
                    Thursday or special scheduled workday at the timeÂ
                     scheduled by employer. You will be scheduled to work 6.5 hours daily
                   which equals 24 hours per week.

Friday Co-Horts:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Youth report to cohort sessions at assigned locations at 8:00am to 12:00noon on Fridays.

If you are selected as a High School Intern, you will make $15.00 an hour and receive pre-program training and coaching to ensure you have the skills you need on the job. Interns are responsible for providing their own transportation to all orientation, training, worksite, and cohort times. Please consider your transportation needs prior to applying for the High School Internship program.
