About Our Location
Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 650+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Support plant operations through effective management of MRO inventory, storeroom processes, and purchasing support activities. The MRO Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting operational and maintenance requirements, generating reports, communicating with vendors and internal customers, and assisting with critical part procurement activities. This role serves as backup support for the MRO Buyer and plays a key role in supporting plant uptime and operational continuity.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, or storeroom experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing, storeroom, inventory, purchasing, or administrative support environment preferred.
Candidate must demonstrate:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional customer service skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Candidate must be proficient in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Outlook and email communication
- Microsoft Office applications
- ERP or inventory management systems preferred
Working knowledge of inventory control, purchasing processes, and manufacturing operations is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; occasionally lift and/or move 60 pounds or more.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions related to receiving, issuing, transferring, and returning materials
- Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments as required
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities to maintain operational readiness
- Generate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to inventory and purchasing activities
- Create, review, and support purchase requisitions and purchase orders as needed
- Serve as backup support for MRO purchasing activities in the absence of the MRO Buyer
- Research and resolve issues related to backorders, delayed shipments, incorrect shipments, and inventory discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with vendors, maintenance personnel, production leadership, engineering, and other internal customers
- Support urgent maintenance and operational requirements with a strong sense of urgency
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other systems to track inventory, analyze data, and support reporting activities
- Maintain organized storeroom conditions and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow up on open orders, vendor communications, and outstanding inventory issues
- Support plant operational needs through flexibility in schedule, including occasional weekends or extended hours as needed
- Perform all other duties assigned to support storeroom and operational requirements
