Job DetailsJob Location: Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center - Natick, MA 01760Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/yearJob Category: ManagementActivities Director - Memory Care Unit - 37.5 hours/week - FULL TIME  Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center, a 118 bed skilled nursing facility located in Natick, MA, is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Memory Care Unit Activities Director to join our leadership team. Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center is a 5 Star Facility that has been deeply rooted in the MetroWest community for over 25 years with a reputation for providing high quality care. This facility is situated in a beautiful setting with modern updates to the property and state of the art short term rehab unit and therapy gym. We are seeking an Director of Activities our Memory Care Unit. The Activities Director leads the way in the creation and implementation of activity programming, workshops, policies, procedures and all best practices related to activities of the memory care unit. The Director maintains all metrics surrounding these initiatives for the dual purpose of monitoring success as well as maintaining compliance with facility, local, state and federal regulations. A hands-on approach to person-centered care to meet individual resident needs are paramount.  Additionally, some of the duties include: Developing the monthly activity calendar for the memory care neighborhood. Manage and provide oversight to the activity aides and recruit volunteers. Documentation of resident’s assessment, MDS, care plans, quarterly notes, as well as participation in interdisciplinary meetings Coordinating and/or conducting training for staff on integrating therapeutic recreation into daily care. Assist, as necessary, with other DSCU services QualificationsRequirements for position: Is certified as a therapeutic recreational specialist or as an activities professional by an accrediting body recognized by the Department of Public Health, or Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one of which was full-time in a patient or resident activities program in a healthcare setting, or Is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
